The Permanent Secretary in Ekiti State’s Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Fasiku Ademiloye made this call when the South West zone of the Association of Women in Surveying (WIS) paid him a courtesy call in his office in Ado-Ekiti recently.

Mr. Fasiku, who noted that their roles in urban development cannot be over-emphasized urged them to maintain a symbiotic relationship between the body and other agencies of government that are saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that developers comply with laid down rules and approved developmental plans of any given settlement or town.

He advised them to include and advance the role of women in building a good home as this would guarantee success of other human endeavour.

Felix Osalusi commended the association for promoting the image of the profession and urged them to be relentless in ensuring that the Survey profession was taken to its next level of professional development.

Responding, the Coordinator of Women in Surveying (WIS) in Ekiti State, who is also the Chief Host, Surveyor Mrs. Olufunke Andero maintained that all hands would be on deck in ensuring that they strike a balance between their chosen career and matrimonial responsibilities which she believed was equally germane.
