The Dr Kayode Fayemi-led government in Ekiti State has reiterated its determination to ensure even distribution of resources through developmental projects that would cut across all the local government areas of the state.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, Prof. Adio Afolayan gave this indication recently while meeting with the management and staff of the Ministry in Ado-Ekiti.
Prof. Afolayan, who is from Efon-Alaye in Efon Local Government Area of the state, described his appointment by Dr. Kayode Fayemi as an opportunity to make his contributions to the development of Ekiti State.
While urging workers to play their own roles by keying into the four cardinal agenda of Governor Fayemi towards securing a better future for the people through good governance, the Commissioner said there would be relentless monitoring of all Local Government projects to ensure effective service delivery at the grass-root.
Responding on behalf of the staff, the Ministry’s Director of Administration and Supply, Mrs. Oyeyemi Kayode-Ojo promised the support and co-operation of the workforce in the ministry.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner has called on all communities across the Sixteen Local Government areas to come up with their project requests as the administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi has guaranteed a rational distribution of the resources of the state.
