Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the Agbaakin Parakoyi of Ibadan-land and gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 9, 2019 election in Oyo State has congratulated the entire Muslim Ummah on Tuesday’s Eid-il-Fitri celebration, which marked the completion of the Ramadan.

Adelabu’s congratulatory message to the Islamic faithfuls was contained in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan by his Media Aide, Dr. Bayo Busari, JP.

While felicitating with the Muslim faithfuls, Chief Adelabu urges them to continually imbibe the essence of the Ramadan which includes self-denial, perseverance, selflessness and charity.

In his words, “as we emerge from the holy month of Ramadan, I join Muslim faithfuls around the globe to wish all the people of Oyo State and beyond a happy Eid–il-Fitri. May the lesson of Ramadan never be lost upon us. May we continue to hold ourselves to higher standards, be our brothers’ keeper, pray for our country and work towards brotherliness and peaceful coexistence.”

Chief Adelabu enjoins all Muslims to continually remember the poor, internally displaced persons, widows, orphans and other less-privileged members of the society even after the Ramadan period has ended.

Even as Ramadan comes to an end, the Oyo State APC 2019 Governorship Candidate in the Eid-il-Fitri message demonstrates his commitment to good governance by calling on the people of the state to continue to support the government of President Muhammadu Buhari in its effort towards bringing economic prosperity and enduring welfare to the entire citizens of Nigeria.
