Colleagues and friends of Eniola Bello (Eni B), the Managing Director of Thisday Newspaper have been mourning with him as he has just lost his wife, Helen.
The death of Helen in London on Monday has thrown the industry into deep morning and several colleagues have been commiserating with Eni B.
Steve Ayorinde, former Editor of The Punch and the immediate past Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Lagos State had this to say on his Facebook Page on Tuesday: “Deep condolences to Eni B, MD of This Day Newspapers, who just lost his wife, Helen Eniola-Bello, in London. After dinner last night and breakfast this morning together, we didn’t know that the urgent call to return to London would end up this way. But God knows best. May the good Lord comfort you and receive her gentle, lovely soul…”
