As expected, the Nigerian Senate, Wednesday, set up a committee to probe the alleged assault of a lady by Senator Elias Abbo in May, 2019.
And Nigerians have been hailing the move by the legislative body.
The Senator was seen on video assaulting the lady in a toy sex shop somewhere in Abuja last May for allegedly abusing him.
Senate President Ahmed Lawan set up the committee, which has two weeks to submit its report.
Nigerians who spoke with PMParrot on the issue suggested that the rampaging Senator should immediately be arrested and prosecuted.
Said respondent: “Senator Abba should by now be under suspension pending the outcome of the committee’s investigation.”
