President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Alh Najeem Yasin has appealed to the Oyo state government to lift the ban on the union in the state.
Alh Yasin who made the appeal while speaking with newsmen after a meeting with the government in Ibadan said that the lingering crises rocking the union in the state has been resolved among the warring factions.
He explained that the two factions have agreed to work together in the interest of peace with nine members each from each group to run the affairs of the state for the next four years.
One of the leaders of the factions, Abideen Olajide Ejiogbe commended the national body of NURTW and pledged to abide with the resolutions arrived at.
The leader of the other faction, Mukaila Lamidi Auxillary enjoined members of the union in the state to shun any act of thuggery and hooliganism.
Governor Seyi Makinde, had, on May 31 proscribed the union indefinitely following crises which erupted between two groups of the union.
