All is set for online media platform, Ibadan Media, in conjunction with Pixels Digital Photography to stage an event tagged Journalists’ Hangout, a talk/discussion show that will bring together media practitioners from various media outfits to network, have professional discussion, analyse and express opinion on salient societal issues.
The event, scheduled to hold on Sunday July 28, 2019 at Kakanfo Inn and Conference Centre, Ibadan, is expected have Mr. Tunde Busari, the NUJ Chairman of the Tribune Chapel delivering a paper while Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the Chief Press Secretary to Oyo State governor, will deliver a keynote address.
The discussants are Mr. Olayinka Agboola, publisher of pmparrot.com and Parrot Xtra Magazine; Mr. Bisi Oladele, the city editor and South-West Bureau Chief of the Nation newspaper; Dr. Bayo Faleke of Fresh FM and Mr. Demola Babalola of Punch Newspaper.
The theme of this year’s discussion according to the convener and publisher of Ibadan Media, Olanrewaju Ola is ‘Online Journalism: Professional’s concern for ethical standard’.

The CEO of the outfit, Omolaraeni Olaosebikan, said a course of study for professional photographers aspiring to become photo-journalists, have been put together.
The event is also being supported by Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) and some media organizations includng Nigerian Tribune, The Nation Newspaper, The Punch newspaper, Parrot Xtra Magazine, Twinklefiles and Bloggers’ association.
