Xenophobic Attacks: Security Agents Halt Invasion Of The Palms Shopping Complex In Ibadan, Situation Now Under Control

Following reported attacks against some South African establishments in Lagos and some parts of the South East in reaction to Xenophobic Attacks Against Nigerians, The Palms Shopping Mall in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State was Tuesday evening attacked briefly.

However, policemen and other security agents stopped the invasion of the Complex on Ring Road by those momentarily identified as hoodlums.

PMParrot checks indicated that the attack was precipitated by those targeting to grab one item or the other in some of the shops located within the complex. They have been stopped and security has been beefed up.

A source close to Segun Ajibola, the man in charge of the complex told PMParrot that the situation is now under control.
