The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin and the Executive Chairman, Oyo State Road Traffic Management Agency, Dr. Akin Fagbemi have sent their congratulatory messages to the Governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde on his victory at the governorship election petitions tribunal.
Hon. Ogundoyin and Dr. Fagbemi described the victory as a confirmation of the people’s choice of Makinde and PDP which was demonstrated through massive votes for the party during the March 9 gubernatorial election in the State.
According to the Speaker “our people are happy today because the mandate given to Governor Makinde and all other Oyo PDP candidates in Senate, House of Representatives and State Assembly were freely given out of trust in your ability to liberate Oyo State and restore its fading pace setting glory.
“While congratulating Governor Seyi Makinde, Senator Kola Balogun, Hon. Yemi Taiwo and all my co-lawmakers that have recorded victory at the 2019 elections tribunal, I wish our party more victory.
“I believe we can now concentrate our governmental and legislative duties with less distraction, to ensure the good people of Oyo State reap the good fruits they deserve,” Ogundoyin said.
In his message, Dr. Akin Fagbemi disclosed that the verdict represented the pulses and yearnings of the good people of the state.
His words, “as a government agency, we acknowledge the great impetus with which Engr. Makinde’s administration is driving the wheels of the Economic growth and development of Oyo State.
“Since inauguration on the 29th of May 2019, the vigor and dedication with which all government agencies under the present administration pursue the actualization of the four lofty cardinal agenda of the governor on education, security, health and economic prosperity is unparalleled.
“We commend the Governor’s leadership principle, kind-heartedness and sincerity in the affairs of Oyo State workers and retirees, OYRTMA inclusive.
“We give assurances of our unalloyed commitment to duty as we are set to be the best Road Transport Management Agency in the country.
“More than ever before, our shoulders are high, morale ignited and passion unquenchable,” Dr. Fagbemi submitted.
The OYRTMA boss assured that the agency will carry out its duties within the ambit of the law to ensure free flow of human and vehicular traffic to support the actualization of the “Accelerated Development Plan” of the State Government.
