Dr Kayode Fayemi’s government in Ekiti State has concluded arrangements to recruit Neighborhood Inspectors across the 16 Local Government Council Areas of the State.
The Commissioner for Education Science and Technology Mr. Foluso Daramola made this known in his office in Ado-Ekiti during a parley with Journalists.
According to the Commissioner, retired School Principals and Headmasters will be recruited as neighborhood Inspectors.
He added that all interested members of the public are to forward their applications attached with their Curriculum Vitae to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, State Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti, on or before Wednesday, 30th October, 2019.
Mr. Daramola said that the Quality Assurance Department in the Ministry will work in collaboration with the Neighborhood Inspectors to achieve the set goals.
He said that the aggressive monitoring which the Ministry would soon embark upon is not to witch-hunt any Teacher in the State but to ensure strict compliance to education guidelines and teaching code.
The Commissioner warned that State Government will not condone any act of indiscipline such as truancy, absenteeism and negligence of duty.
