Spanish Villarreal’s defender, Alberto Moreno has lauded teammate, Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze, and has also expressed the belief that the youngster has everything to become a world class player.

Moreno, 27, joined the Yellow Submarine outfit this summer after ending his five seasons association with Liverpool, where he played alongside Senegal’s forward Sadio Mane.

Chukwueze has been impressive in the colour of Villarreal since he joined the first team at the start of last season.

The 20-year-old won his Club young player of the year last term and has been nominated for the maiden Balon D’or young player of the year , alongside nine others.

While speaking on the rapid development of the player , Moreno said the Nigerian is a joy to watch and reminds him of former Liverpool teammate, Sadio Mane.

“Chukwueze is very good. I followed him last year because I had him in the Comunio (football manager) and he gave me many points,” Moreno told AS.

“That’s why I started following him again. He is a super incisive player, fast, you don’t know where he is going to go out, and he is very strong, precise in his play. He has everything.

“He reminds me a lot of Sadio Mane. I have seen them both in training and I can tell you that he reminds me a lot of him.”

Chukwueze won the FIFA U-17 World Cup with Nigeria back in 2015 and was part of the senior team that won bronze medal at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

He has scored seven goals and recorded four assists in 41 games for Villarreal.
