Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets are now through to the round of 16 at the ongoing 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup, after bringing their counterparts from Ecuador to their kneels with 3-2 win at the Estadio Olimpico Pedro Ludovico in Goiania, Brazil.
History was made by Ibrahim Said who scored a hat-trick in the highly explosive encounter.
The hat trick was enough to see Nigeria through after the Nigerians recorded a dramatic comeback.
Fans and fellow Nigerians have since been congratulating the team and their handlers led by Coach Manu Garba.
