The Lesson I Learnt During Hearings At The Appeal Court – Chairman House Committee on Information, Hon. Olayanju

The member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Irepo/Olorunsogo state constituency, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju has said that his experience during his case at the Appeal Court has given him an insight to what might be the aftermath of his four years tenure as a member of the legislative arm of government.

Hon. Olayanju, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Information disclosed this to House of Assembly correspondents during a congratulatory visit paid to his office over his electoral victory at the Court of Appeal.

He noted that the experience garnered during the tribunal and appeal case has made him to appreciate his patriotic followers who stood by him despite the challenge.

Hon. Olayanju submitted that many people who are following him are only doing so because of his position as a lawmaker.

“I can tell you categorically that I am the only honourable in the 9th Assembly that have been able to see his end before the end. I can tell you what will happen to me after my four years’ tenure in the office. It was during that time I realized that out of the hundred people that are following me, it is only just 40 percent of them that are following me because I am Qozeem Olayanju”.

Hon. Olayanju assured the people of his commitment to ensure that the dividends of democracy are extended to nooks and crannies of the constituency.

While reacting to the report presented by Hon. Julius Okedoyin on the ‘Need for Urgent Intervention of Oyo State Government to Take Full Potential of Marble Deposit in Igbeti’, Hon. Olayanju expressed his happiness over the quick intervention of the state government on the motion.

He said that he presented the motion to enable the state have full control of the Marble site in Igbeti to increase its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) base.

Hon. Olayanju revealed that he has been working hand in hand with the committee to ensure that necessary actions are taken to achieve the aims and objectives of the motion.

Olayanju maintained that the report presentation was pursuant to the resolution of the House that directed the House Committee on Solid Minerals to visit the site and report back to the House.
