The Western zone of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) has held its’s annual week celebrations in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.
During the week’s events, the leadership of the body dragged all its members into a gym for workout and wellness talk.
The Vice President South/West zone of the body Dr. Olatokunbo Dagunduro who led other members during the exercise said the nature of their business does not usually permit them to engage in regular exercises which can help prevent or manage many health problems and concerns.
“We decided to include this as part of the activities marking our week’s celebration this year because most of our members don’t create time for such and regular body-workout can also help improve cognitive function and help lower the risk of death from all causes.
“A gym session or brisk walk can help. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier, more relaxed and less anxious. You may also feel better about your appearance and yourself when you exercise regularly, which can boost your confidence and improve your self-esteem”, Dagunduro told newsmen after the exercise at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium Ibadan
The body also made a visitation to the juvenile correctional institution and child care unit at Ijokodo Poly Road Ibadan where they gave out clothing, shoes, bags, toys and other gift items to the kids, and thereafter held a dinner on Friday at the Jogor Centre, Ibadan.
