It has been reported that Turkish Lig side, Trabzonspor, have decided not to extend Nigeria international, Ogenyi Onazi’s contract when it expires in the summer.
Trabzonspor on Friday announced the extension of the contracts of Jose Sosa and Filip Novak with the two players.
Thirty four-year-old Argentine, Sosa, was offered a two-year contract while Czech defender, Novak, was handed a three-year contract.
However, Onazi as well as three other players (Donis Avdijaj, Fıratcan Üzüm and Ivanildo Fernandes) have been deemed surplus to requirement and will be sent out on loan this January while the possibility of their contract being extended is slim, according to Turkish publication Sabah.
The Turkish outfit has completed the signing of Stoke City midfielder, Badou Ndiaye, a sutuation that has further pushed the Nigerian down the pecking order at the club.
Onazi, who has featured twice for the club, is free to talk to other teams.
