The Caretaker Chairman Ibadan East Local Council Development Area, Hon Abiodun Babalola has promised to bring the dividends of democracy within his ambit to the people of the constituency.
Babalola who stated this during the Peoples Democratic Party first Local Government meeting of the year, held at St. Cyprian Catholic School, Oke Offa Ibadan.
The newly appointed LCDA Chairman in his address, appreciated all the members of his party for the overwhelming support during and after his inauguration as a caretaker Chairman.
He therefore promised to be a good ambassador and also to continue doing his best and ensure the dividends of democracy reach the people of the area.
In his remarks, the party Chairman, Ibadan East Local Council Development Area Alhaji Taiwo Iyiola commended the council chairman for his steadfastness and love towards the party, describing him as a core party man.
Alhaji Iyiola lauded the newly appointed Chairman for standing with the party during the storm, noting that he is a grassroot developer, who will surely do his best to effect a better change to the council.
He therefore advised the people of the area to give the newly inaugurated chairman a chance to effect the required change as people at the grassroots level have been abandoned in the eight years of the past administration.
