Noise Pollution: Makinde’s Government Now To Shut Mosques, Churches, Others

The Engineer Seyi Makinde-led government in Oyo State has announced that it has put machineries in motion to start shutting mosques, churches, event centers and others that engage in noise pollution.

This revelation was made by the state’s Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Honourable Kehinde Ayoola while featuring on a Fresh FM Radio, Ibadan programme on Saturday morning.

Ayoola said “We got complaints from residents of Awolowo Road in Bodija about noise pollution from Clubs and event centers on the road and we held meetings to warn those concerned.

“Engr Makinde’s government will not compromise. All laws of the state must be obeyed by all irrespective of status. When we make arrests or shut down churches, mosques, event centers, we will call the media to witness too.”
