Chinese League One club Changchun Yatai have pulled off a transfer coup with the signing of Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker and international, Aaron Samuel.
The left-footed center forward has put pen to paper on a one-season deal with Changchun Yatai, with an option for two years inserted into the contract.
Samuel is a popular figure in Chinese football, having previously worn the colours of Guangzhou R&F and Sichuan Longfor, scoring 34 goals combined in 62 appearances for both teams.
Though the 25-year-old did not receive much media attention in 2019, he had his best season as a professional last year, netting 19 goals for Sichuan Longfor and ended the campaign as the fourth highest goal scorer in the second-tier.
He has also represented the likes of Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow, Amkar Perm, Sarpsborg 08 FF, VÃ¥lerenga Fotball and Beitar Jerusalem.
Samuel will be hoping to emulate the scoring achievement of Odion Ighalo at Changchun Yatai.
