The decomposed remains of Ewangi Busari, 24, and Ayo Ajisafe, 22, both alleged secret cult members from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State have been found.

The duo, whose remains were discovered at the bank of River Obada Oko in Abeokuta were declared missing some weeks ago.

Our source informed us that Ayo is a Final year student of Mass Communication at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, while  Ewangi finished from the same institution, they are both allegedly members of the Eiye Cult Group.

We further gathered that they were killed and butchered by rival cult group while they were in the process of being officially initiated sometime in the first week of February, 2020.

The two bodies were identified with their clothes as well as their student identification cards.

A source who witnessed the retrieval of the decomposed bodies of the students volunteered that “the activities of the many secret cult groups over the years have been so alarming. This particular case happens to be the second time this year that secret cult group’s activities would be leading to the death of members.”

Earlier in January, when secret cult groups clashed about three of their members were reported to have died.

And it is unfortunate that the Nigerian Police is yet to show any sign of responsibility towards curbing the waywardness of the cultist activities in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

Continued our source “When we spoke with a member of the Nigeria Police who said we should not mention his name, he categorically stated that the hands of Policemen are tied when it comes to occult activities in the Ogun State in particular. This is because many of the cult members are children of the high and mighty in the society.

“In time past, whenever information reaches the Police concerning the activities of secret cult groups, the men of the Nigeria Police would move in and effect some arrests. However, they are always stopped from doing proper investigations. Most of the times, before suspects are even driven to the police station, a ‘big man police officer’ from Abuja would just call and kill the case by ordering the release of the suspects”.

Meanwhile, our attempt to speak with the image maker of MAPOLY did not yield any result as he was said to be in a meeting.

While carrying out our investigation, we gathered that Ayo, apart from being a student of the Mass Communications department of the Polytechnic, he also has a multi-million naira hair barbing saloon in the heart of Abeokuta City.

The remains of the two young men have since been deposited at the State Hospital Mogue, Iporo Ake, in the same city.
