Ex-Super Eagles winger, Finidi George, has tested negative to the coronavirus, Sports Extra reports.
The ex-Ajax and Real Betis player currently based in Spain had revealed on Friday that he had been feeling ill for some couple of days with symptoms such as high temperature and cough but needing to be sure of his status, the Nigerian visited the hospital to carry out a COVID-19 test.
“For the past few days, I’ve not been feeling so well, I’ve been running temperature and having a bit of cough so I came to the hospital to run a test on coronavirus. I don’t know what the result will be but I hope and pray it comes out negative,” he said on in a video on Instagram on Friday.
The result came out negative and the 48-year-old was delighted to share the news with his fans on Instagram also thanking them for their support.
“Hi guys, I’m happy, my result came out and it is negative, so I’ve been given the license to go home and be with my family. I was kind of scared but everything went well
“Thank God they allowed me to go home after the result came out negative. Thanks for the support and don’t be afraid to run a test if you’re having strange symptoms,” he said in a Bruno video.
