More than 2,000 residents of Ekiti state have received a minimum cash of 10,000 naira each, within the last 24 hours, through Cash Transfer System CTS made by the Senator representing the South Senatorial District, Mrs Biodun Olujimi.

“I am sending money to as many people as I can across the 16 Local Government Areas before we can distribute food,” Olujimi said.

Olujimi, who implemented the cash transfer directly to the beneficiaries accounts, reiterated her commitment to the unity and progress of Ekiti state also commended the people’s compliance to the stay at home order of the government, saying, “in containing Coronavirus, our people must continue to adhere strictly to proper hygiene and wash hands every time.”

The Senator had earlier last week embarked on aggressive awareness campaign against COVID-19 across the 16 local government areas of the state, distributed precautionary items amongst which were Hand and Body Sanitizers, Antibacterial Soaked Wipes and Educative Handbills to Government Health Facilities, Police Stations, Palaces, Motor Parks and other strategic locations in the state.
