Following the idea of engaging secondary school students in Oyo state despite the COVID-19 outbreak that has affected all aspects of life, the Caretaker Chairman, Ibadan East Local Council Development Area, Hon.Abiodun Babalola has lauded Governor Seyi Makinde – for coming up with the school-on-air initiative.
Babalola applauded the governor for putting the state on the front line as he has already set the pace for every other state in the south west because the project is worth emulating.
The council boss maintained that this initiative is capable of making every serious student to stay connected with their syllabus as the initiative will help keep them on track pending the time of their resumption.
The grassroot politician, however, thanked Makinde for considering the masses by bringing the program on Broadcasting Cooperation of Oyo State (BCOS) and other government owned radio stations across all the geo-political zones of Oyo state
He therefore called on other governors to take a cue from Governor Makinde’s initiative and start engaging the students in their various states
The medical engineer turned politician, however, advised all parents to support the Oyo state government initiative by ensuring their wards stick to the programme and listen to all the teachings on government owned radio and television stations in order to ensure better standard of education that will make the state stand out among others.
He therefore, advised students across the state to take advantage of this gesture and see the project as their own and listen and watch daily classes.
