PMParrot, Tuesday morning paid a visit to the home late statesman and former Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Richard Osuolale Akinjide, SAN.
We were fortunate to meet the only official surviving wife, Mrs Abimbola Akinjide who attended to the few relatives and friends who were in the palatial house to commiserate with the family.
When approached to speak about her late husband, all she said was that “I praise God and thank Him for His mercy. Baba has come, he has played his own role and he is now gone. He has gone to rest.”
According to the condolence register opened on behalf of the deceased, notable names who called and signed earlier included Dr Saka Balogun and Baale Ekotedo, Chief Taiye Ayorinde.
Late Chief Akinjide died in his Jericho, Ibadan home and his remains were taken to the University College Hospital, in the same capital city of Oyo State on Monday evening.
