The much celebrated kidnap of Sheik Taofeeq Akeugbagold’s twins is now history as the two kids have been released by their abductors.
The two children were released on Sunday morning after days in captivity. Their kidnap was followed by a sensational media attention.
The Islamic cleric, while announcing the release of the kids on Facebook said “ALHAMDULILLAH! AT 5.30AM OF SUNDAY 3RD MAY, MY ABDUCTED TWIN KIDS ARE RELEASED TO ME BESIDE A BUSH AFTER 8DAYS IN AN UNKNOWN LAND. THANKS TO U ALL FOR FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT, JAZAKUMULLAHU KHAIRAN. ABERE MI BO SINU OKUN, OLOUN YO PADA FUN MI.”
However, PMParrot has not been able to confirm if any ransom was paid or not before the twins were released.
