Raphael Chukwu-Ndukwe, ex-Super Eagles striker has lauded the Nigeria Football Federation for extending Gernot Rohr’s contract with the national team.
The former Bari striker made this known in an interview with Brila.net monitored by our correspondent.
Ndukwe said, “I think what (Amaju) Pinnick (NFF boss) did is the best for Nigerian football, by renewing his (Rohr’s) contract. He has worked with a bunch of good players and they have been together for a while, so let them continue in the same way and I think he has done well as far as Nigeria is concerned.
“He qualified for the 2019 AFCON and the 2018 World Cup, so I think what we will do is give him that chance. Your employer will always want you to improve but I think it’s a good idea to give him that contract.”
The Franco-German recently signed a new contract to handle the national team till 2022, after months of speculation about his future with the national team.
