Muslim ummahs across Oyo State have been enjoined to be guided by the tenets and teachings established by the holy month of Ramadan in their various activities.
The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc. Hassan Giwa gave the admonition in his Eid-el-Filtri message to Muslim ummahs in the state.
The foremost architect felicitated Muslim community on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-filtri, calling them to imbibe the spirit of obedience, tolerance and forgiveness.
Giwa expressed that Ramadan has established teachings and tenets that encourage peaceful coexistence among the people irrespective of religious, political and tribal affiliation.
He appealed to the Muslim ummahs to keep on praying for the peace, security and development of the state and Nigeria at large.
Giwa also urged them to persistently support and show love to one another as exemplified by Prophet Muhammed in the holy Qur’an.
The HOG Foundation founder, appealed to all and sundry irrespective of religion and tribal sentiments to join hands to fight humanity’s common enemies, who he said are hunger and COVID-19.
Arc. Giwa urged Islamic leaders and clerics to channel their prayers points to the people in the positions of authority in order for them to make right policies and decisions that will bring succor to the people and country as a whole.
He, however, implored governments both at federal and state levels to wake up to the calls from the people to find lasting solution to the problem of poverty and the novel coronavirus ravaging the country.
