The Chairman of Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers, the Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, HRM, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi Afuntade 1, on behalf of all traditional rulers in Ekiti State, has commiserated with the Olumilua family of Ikere-Ekiti over the passage of their Leader and patriarch, Evangelist Bamidele Ishola Olumilua, the former Governor of old Ondo State.

The State traditional rulers particularly consoled Ekiti State  Commissioner for Information, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua over the passage of his father, Evangelist Olumilua.

Oba Ajibade Alabi described the politician’s death as a huge loss to Ekiti State saying the Late Olumilua was a great son of the land who contributed hugely to the creation and development of Ekiti State.

“His footprints are still being seen all over where he served as a Diplomat,  Governor, Chancellor of a University and former Head of Christian Pilgrims Board in Ekiti” the Alawe stressed.

The monarch further said that the former Governor lived a simple and fruitful life worthy of emulation by all and sundry particularly the political class in the country. “He was clearly an apostle of politics without bitterness” the Alawe stated.

The Chairman of the Traditional rulers prayed to God to grant the soul of  late Evangelist Olumilua  eternal rest and give the entire family the fortitude to bear this great loss.
