The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Dr Dayo Oladebeye has felicitated with the Muslim community for witnessing this year’s Eid- El- Kabir celebration, as he enjoined all to show love in the face of challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The Rector urged Muslims to imbibe, as they celebrate modestly, the tenets and spirit of the festival, which revolve around love for God and mankind as well as pious sacrifice.
The season, he emphasized, dictates that all should live in accordance with the spirit of love for humanity, eschew violence and preach peace, tolerance and togetherness at all times.
While the Rector enjoined citizens to abide, at this critical time of the ravaging pandemic, by the COVID-19 protocols as provided by NCDC and health officials, Dr. Oladebeye reminded all to be conscious of the fact that only those who are alive can celebrate.
He further called on all faithful across religious boundaries to continue to pray for the peace of the Nigerian nation, Ekiti State and the development of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti.
