The romantic relationship between Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho and English Premier League side, Leicester City is heading for the rock as the club is ready to listen to offers for Nigeria international to fund their pursuit of Celtic striker, Odsonne Edouard to beef-up the team.
The U-17 FIFA World Cup winner, who joined Leicester City from Manchester City for £25 million in 2017, has managed ten goals in 26 appearances for the team this season but Brendan Rodgers is hell bent to use the money realise on Iheanacho’s sell to fund his capture of £40 million rated Edouard.
According to a British tabloid, Daily Mail, Selling Iheanacho can help The Foxes offset their spending with midlands neighbours Aston Villa among those showing an interest.
Leicester City, who won just two of their 10 games after lockdown to surrender their seemingly firm grip on third place, with Manchester United and Chelsea sneaking in ahead of them, ended the season in UEFA Europa Cup spot.
