A group known as Apoi Volunteer Group that has its existence in nine communities of Apoi Kingdom which includes Igbobini, Igbotu, Oboro, Inikorogha, Sabomi, Ipoke, Igbekebo and Kiribo has declared total support for the second coming term bid of the incumbent Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu.
The leader of the group, Mr. Ekundayo Akinola dropped this hint while speaking with PMParrot correspondent in Ondo State when he led his group to pay a condolence visit to the Igbobini family’s residence of Honourable Folawe Omowunmi Sipasi – Aluko, the chairmanship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Ondo State Local Government Election scheduled to hold on August 22th, 2020 over the demise of her mother, Mrs. Ibilola Bethseda Sipasi who died recently.
Speaking further, the Apoi Volunteer Group Leader, Ekundayo commiserated with the families of the deceased and encouraged them to take heart in the Lord and not allowed the passage of their mother to weigh them down, especially Honourable Sipasi-Aluko who is aspiring for the Chairmanship of Ese Odo local government council.
In addition, Ekundayo used the opportunity to praise the incumbent Governor of Ondo State on his various achievements in the nine community areas making up of the Apoi Kingdom, pointing out the construction of new blocks of classrooms in schools, the new overhead bridge in Ore Township among many other laudable projects already executed by the Akeredolu’s administration.
While responding, the host, Hon. Sipasi-Aluko thanked the visitors for coming to sympathize with her and family over the demise of their mother. She used the opportunity to assure the Apoi people of her readiness to serve them and better the lots of the Ese-Odo people in the areas of creating jobs and providing an enabling environment for businesses to grow in the Communities.
She however, promised to inject fresh ideas into the governance of the Ese-Odo local government area as soon as she comes on board as the next Executive Chairman.
