Newly promoted Spanish La Liga side, SD Huesca are plotting a move to acquire the service of Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo to beef up their team for next season action.
According to an online spanish radio, Cadena SER, the La Liga new boys are planing to lure the former Chelsea player, who was relegated with CD Leganes on the final day of the 2019-2020 season, with a return to the prestigious top flight football.
SD Huesca, who are operating on a low transfer budget, are targeting the key players in the demoted teams – Leganés, Espanyol and Mallorca to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming season and would the happy to land the Nigeria international defender.
It is yet to be seen if Leganes, who parted paid €5 million to sign the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner on a permanent deal from Chelsea last summer, will be willing to sell him at a discount.
Omeruo, who is contracted to CD Leganes until June 2024, was in action for 51time for Los Pepineros last season.
