Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo says he is on the verge of joining Turkish Super Lig giants, Galatasaray after falling the pecking other.
With the arrival of compatriot, Mikel Obi, who joined the English Championship side, Stoke City, Etebo, who spend last season on loan at Spanish side, Getafe, has seen himself fall down the pecking order of midfielders.
Etebo, who was dropped from Stoke City’s squad after new manager, Michael O’Neill critical of his efforts in training, joined La Liga side Getafe on loan for the remainder of the 2019–20 season with an option to purchase.
The former Warri Wolves player, who confirmed one hundred percent he was joining Galatasaray, revealed that he is on the way to Turkey for his medicals with Galatasaray.
Galatasaray had been on the trail of the skillful player for more than three years and attempted to sign him before his move to Stoke City in 2018.
Etebo, who is expect to be unveiled as a new player of Galatasaray in the coming days, wasn’t involved in any of the Potters pre-season games.
