In a bid to change the face of boxing promotion, especially at the grassroots and add colour to the game, an Ibadan based boxing promoter, Oshinmi Ezekiel who also owns Dcolossus Boxing outfit has released a boxing anthem titled Ese O’gboyinbo (punch doesn’t hear English).

The rationale behind the idea according to the young promoter is to endear the boxing sport more into the hearts of the teeming youths, using hip-hop type of music that is well acceptable all in passing the boxing message.

The CEO of Dcolossous in a chat with newsmen in Ibadan explained that his firm came into the game with a quest to empower raw talents to stardom, using boxing as a tool for changing mantras and motivating young and energetic youth for positive values.

He, however, hinted that Dcolossus is embarking on a program tagged: ‘Let there be champions’ which is a boxing promotional project aimed at promoting boxing and boxers at all levels through various activities that will add better values and change the despondency state that Nigeria’s boxing finds itself presently.

“Our Style of promoting boxing entails: helping the youth to achieve their dream, positively engaging them for better living and giving hope by encouraging future champions”, Oshinmi noted.

He added that Dcolossus offers the following: boxing promotion, boxing and boxer’s management, boxing academy with standard equipment, fight movies to enhance skills, boxing awards to reward excellence and others.

“One of our main objectives at Dcolossus boxing promotions is to ensure regular fights to encourage and enhance boxing and boxers especially at the grassroots”, said the youthful boxing promoter.
