Manager of the English Premier League side, Crystal Palace, Roy Hodgson has showered praises on Nigeria’s Super Eagles hopeful, Eberechi Eze, calling the skillful goal poacher a good signing.
Eze, who was recently recognized for his outstanding performance, with the Professional Footballers’ Association naming him to the Team of the Year for 2019-2020, joined Crystal Palace from Queen Park Rangers last month and Hodgson believes Eze can star in the Premier League in the long run despite moving from the Championship.
“Eberechi Eze is a very good signing who will be with us for a number of years… Eberechi has the ability and personality. I have no fears about him stepping up.
“We’re convinced we’ve signed the right player, the right player in terms of his ability and his character,” Hodgson said.
Eze, who cost the Selhurst Park based side £16million with potentially rising to £20million, is in contention to make his Premier League debut against Southampton, pulled out of Englan U-20 squad due to injury.
