Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Henry Onyekuru has celebrated the side’s 2-1 home win against Nantes on Sunday at the Stade Louis 11.
The win was Monaco’s second of the campaign and their 1000th in the French top flight.
Sofiane Diop gave Monaco the perfect start after opening scoring in the fifth minute.
Ludovic Blas equalised for Nantes in the 61st minute.
Onyekuru, who came in the 63rd minute, set up Willem Geubbels for the winning goal two minutes later.
“Another 3 points! Great performance from the team. The journey continues!”he tweeted.
Monaco occupy second position on the table with seven points.
Nantes are in 10th position with four points and have now suffered their first defeat in the league this season.
