The Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, Honourable Akinrinwa Igbekele has been lamenting over the destruction of his council’s secretariat by hoodlums.
The LG boss as a result has called on the people of the town who are well to do, philanthropists as well as the State government to come to the aid of the local government in order to rebuild the Secretariat.
Honourable Akinrinwa Igbekele also used the opportunity reiterate the commitment of his administration to embark on developmental projects to enhance the rapid growth of the council area despite all odds.
The Chairman made the submission while speaking with PMParrot on his rise to prominence, saying he worked very hard to attain the position of the Executive Chairman.
According to him, his election as council chairman was earned based on merit, while assuring the people that he will not disappoint the people within the period of his stay in office.
Hon Akinrinwa said he has mapped out plans to address the issue of unemployment among the youths in the area by creating viable employment opportunities for the teeming youths in the area, while making provision for soft loans for farmers to help boost their farming outputs.
Speaking on his previous achievements as caretaker chairman of the council, he said he renovated and upgraded the market in the council area, dug boreholes and cleared 10 months backlog of salary arrears among others”.
On Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akerodolu’s government, he said the Governor has massively boosted the internal revenue generation of the state while improving the infrastructural standard of the Ondo State University of Science and Technology Okitipupa among many other monumental developments since his assumption of office.
