Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo’s performance for his Scottish Premiership team, Glasgow Rangers has earned him a praise from former Leeds United striker, Noel Whelan.
The former Academy Coach at Football League Championship side, Derby County said the brilliant performance of the former Charlton Athletic could soar his value to £20 million if sold by Rangers next season.
Aribo, who is currently is valued at €1 million by Transfermarkt, has been one of the brightest talents at Rangers since his arrival in the summer of 2019 with 13 goals from 59 appearances and has set up eight goals.
“This is a team that is performing in Europe as well as domestically.
“If they keep going the way that they are you are going to be talking in the £20million bracket to force players like Aribo away from Rangers.
“They are a massive club, in Europe and could be in the Champions League next year – there is not many better than this club. Rangers are a huge, huge club.
The likes of Joe Aribo will be looked at but that is just what happens at a successful club. They will put a price tag on, that’s for sure,” Whelan said.
Aribo is presently on international duty for Nigeria in their 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone.
