At long last, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in the early hours of Wednesday suspended its strike, ending a nine-month-old industrial action that started since March 2020.
The agreement to end the strike was reached in the early hours on Wednesday morning after eight-hour closed-door meeting of negotiations between the Federal Government and the union.
ASUU National President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, made the announcement during a briefing of the union in Abuja, explaining that the development followed consultations with its National Executive Council (NEC).
