Wole Adedoyin, the President of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) has recovered from novel Coronavirus after testing negative for the disease.
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Ibadan after his exit from the Olodo Infectious Disease Centre.
It will be recalled that Adedoyin had gone into isolation at the Olodo Infectious Disease Center on December 16 after testing positive to the dreaded virus.
Adedoyin, a former gubernatorial candidate of the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) in the 2018 Osun election applauded the state government’s ability to manage cases that tested positive to the Coronavirus at the Olodo Infectious Disease Center. Adedoyin described the nurses and doctors at the Centre as compassionate and caring.
He further warned Oyo State citizens against complacency and carelessness in the way they go about the new life reminding that Gov. Seyi Makinde has laid down some preventive measures to be adhered to strictly for the sake of survival.
Adedoyin who has been in isolation since December 16 appreciated God for the speedy recovery and thanked his family, friends, uncles, aunties, senior colleagues and literary associates all over the country and outside the country for their prayers.
He further advised Nigerians to observe safety protocols put in place by both the state and federal government to curb the spread of the disease.
