All is set for the second term inauguration of the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and pre-activities start from Monday.
The Chairman of the 25-man Inauguration Committee and Deputy Governor-Elect, Honourable Lucky Ayedatiwa stated this while briefing journalists on the activities lined up for the inauguration ceremony.
He said all activities towards the inauguration would be low-key due to the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic stating that only 500 persons would be allowed to attend the ceremony while 400 people would be allowed to attend the dinner coming up later in the evening at the International Event Centre, Akure.
He reiterated extensively that the venues for the six days of activities will be no-go areas for individuals without official invitation card.
The highpoint of the events is the inauguration lecture titled “Towards A New Nigeria: From Federal Fatherism to a Commonwealth” to be delivered by the President of African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Akinwumi Adesina on Tuesday, February 23 at the International Event Centre, Akure.
Other activities lined up include School Debate among Secondary School Students of the State, World Gyration by Kegites club, Anniversary Dinner, Jumaa’t and Thanksgiving Services among others.
