Love was freely displayed on Sunday as the elegant proprietress of the popular Ibadan-based event center, Mauve-21, Alhaja Aibat Adepeju Muraina turned 61.
The retired army officer used the opportunity to recount how his wife used to prepare ‘amala’ delicacy for him by 5am every day.
Said the ebullient Ibadanman “My wife is the best you can find around. She is not only accommodating, she is kind hearted too.
“Yes, like any other relationship, the ups and downs were there. But I had and still have my own way of maintaining myself when the atmosphere is ‘hot’ in the house. My music is always with me. I love to play Ayinla Omowura.”
While responding to her husband, Alhaja Aibat said “My husband has always been there for me. I thank God for him. I thank him too for being able to tolerate me and my faults. I also thank God for our children too.”
Guests who witnessed the low-key event included the wife of the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Professor Amdalat Olaniyan, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun, Oyo’s Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, the founder of Ilaji Hotel and Resort, Akanran, Engineer Dotun Sanusi, Justice Iyabo Yerima, Semiu Adenekan (DJ Semight), Olayinka Agboola of Parrot Media Network and several other close friends of the celebrant.
