Nigeria’s Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa is confident that Nigeria can secure a win when they face the Republic of Benin on Saturday despite the opponents boastful claim of ‘an eight-year unbeaten record at home’.
Musa risks missing out on the matchday squad against the Squirrels because he has been inactive at club level since October and he is counting on his teammates to get the job done.
“The training was good, thank God everyone is in the camp now, as you can see, we have the 24 players and everyone participated in the training. The grass is good, I feel happy about it.
“We are going there to win, we know that since 2013 they have not lost at home. With the hard work that we put in yesterday and today I know the boys can do it.
“The special thing is for we the players to win the game and I know by the grace of God we are going to do it,” said Musa.
Musa wants to continue playing international football for the Super Eagles as he is seven games away from becoming the most capped Nigerian player in history.
