The Governor of Osun State, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has announced the appointment of a chief lecturer, Mr Lawrence Oludare Adeyeri as the new Deputy Rector for the Osun State College of Technology (OSCOTECH), Esa -Oke.
The Director of Media and Publicity for the Institution, Dr. Wale Oyekanmi in a statement on Friday, said “the appointment of the new Deputy Rector was confirmed by the Governor Gboyega Oyetola in which Mr. Adeyeri was said to have defeated two other candidates vying for the same position”.
Oyekanmi revealed that the new appointee was first appointed by the Institution on the 1st of September, 1995 as a Lecturer III. He later rose through the ranks to become a chief lecturer in the year 2018.
Mr. Adeyeri obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education (Mathematics) from the prestigious University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) and later bagged a MSc from the same institution in Numerical Analysis in the year 2013.
He is currently a Ph.D Student in Mathematics (Numerical Analysis) in the same University from the year 2017.
Mr Adeyeri was a one-time Head in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics before becoming the Dean of the faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences in the same Institution.
