Bembe while speaking with newsmen amidst tears at the Oluyole, Ibadan office of UfitFly said he has never traveled out of Nigeria since he released the hit song in 2003, saying as a matter of fact he has resigned to faith and now embraced farming.
“I was inspired to sing about the hardship in the country then, and unfortunately, I have never travelled out of this country since then. It was rumoured that the then Governor of Ogun State assisted me to get a visa and travel, but it was not true”, Bembe Aladisa explained.
The team leader of the destination management company, Evangelist Ajibola Ogunkeyede said his firm has granted the artist a free all-expense paid trip to join other tourists to the holy city of Jordan this month.
“All arrangements have been made to make Bembe Aladisa one of our Ambassadors that will lead other tourists to the Kingdom of Jordan. He’s going to have one room to himself, not going to share any room with anyone and he will have the opportunity to shoot his video in any location of attraction in Jordan.
“The man has been a good social crusader all these while and we’re going to arrange another trip for him especially to Europe and Asia, we’re a Destination Management Company with a wide range of leisure tour programs for the personal wellbeing of Nigerians”, Ogunkeyede noted.
Also speaking, renowned radio presenter, Yemi Sonde who was anchoring a live radio program where the decision to feature Bembe Aladisa was made thanked the firm for its magnanimity which will definitely trigger a turnaround in the life of the beneficiary and the management of the radio station for creating and enabling environment where creativity can strive.
“The thing came up dramatically during a live program I run on Splash FM Ibadan, while playing the music of Bembe Aladisa, ‘ẹyin oyinbo e wa fún mi ni visa’, Ufitfly boss asked where is this man that sang this music all this while, has he travelled or not, but we can do something for him. I put a call through to Bembe that if you’re listening to us, your prayers have been answered”.
