As part of his plans to ensure better performance at the LNO 1, the chairman Ogbomoso United Football Club, Hon Akinwale Akinwole has reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the players and the management of the team.
This is just as he disclosed the move to recruit more talented players into the team and the opening of the newly built camp in Ogbomoso.
Akinwole popularly known as Wolekanle in a chat with journalists explained that the team’s impressive performances in the LNO 1 further boosted his morale and he now has more confidence in the team.
“One of the reasons why I initiated the club is simply to identify, develop talents and enhance a career in the soccer world, and to an extent, God has been faithful to us, very soon some of our players will be performing at the international league”.
Wolekanle who is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state equally commended Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde on the development of sporting facilities across the state.
He said the upgrading of Lekan Salami Stadium Adamasingba, Olubadan Stadium, and others in Ogbomoso, Iseyin, Saki, Oyo, and Ibarapa are pointers to the fact that Governor Makinde is determined to take sporting activities to the next level in the state.
