Ahmed Musa, the captain of Nigeria’s Super Eagles has been linked with a move to Turkish Super Lig side Fatih Karagumruk, with the club prepared to hand him a one-year deal and an option of another year.
The former Al Nassr and Leicester City forward spent the last three months in the Nigeria Professional Football League with Kano Pillars as an elite player .
According to Fanatik, Karagumruk are said to have beaten Super Lig top clubs Galatasaray and Besiktas to his signature.
The move would mark a return to Europe for the 28-year-old, who left Al Nassr in 2020 after scoring 11 goals and providing 14 assists in 57 matches, as well as helping them win the Saudi Pro League and Super Cup titles.
Musa made his 96th appearance for Nigeria in their 3-0 win over Lesotho in Lagos in the Super Eagles final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in March.
He is Nigeria’s third most capped player in history after Vincent Enyeama (101) and Joseph Yobo (100).
