The Chairman of the Oyo State Chapter of the Association of Local Governments in Nigeria (ALGON) who also doubles as the chairman of Egbeda Local Government in the state, Hon Sikiru Sanda has given reasons why members of his association will continue to be proud of the state’s Governor ‘Seyi Makinde.
Honourable Sanda made the revelation while speaking with Parrot Xtra Magazine within the premises of the Oyo State Secretariat in Ibadan during the week.
According to the youthful politician, Governor Makinde’s love for equity and justice will always make him to earn respect.
Sanda continued “His excellency is a man that wants everybody around him to be happy. He is always conscious of the needs of his followers. He cherishes hard work, forthrightness and sense of responsibility.
“Those of us that have been following him all this while know that he will never shift his own responsibility on any body. He stands by his words and will respect you if you demonstrate to him that you are trustworthy.
In addition, our boss is a man who likes thoroughness. Look at the Lekan Salami Stadium Complex that his administration remodeled, he took personal interest because he knows it is a legacy project. He supervised the project personally. And, there are several other projects in the state like that and he still takes time off to ensure that quality jobs are delivered”.
Sanda also took time off to speak about what he is doing for his people at Egbeda Local Government.

His words “The people of Egbeda Local Government will have the best of times under me by God’s grace. The signs are there already. Yes, the funds are not readily available but God has a way of doing things for me personally.
“I believe that with the help of God, the support of my governor and the political will added to the cooperation of my supporters, we will deliver the dividends to democracy.
“The template is there for us to transform security architecture, education and health care delivery systems especially in our local government. More infrastructures will also be provided. We hit the ground running and we do not intend to rest on our oars.”
