All things being equal, the Super Eagles will be flown to the island of Mindelo to take on the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde for next week’s Match Day 2 fixture of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) President Amaju Pinnick said yesterday at a meeting with the Super Eagles that all arrangements have been put in place for a chartered flight that would convey the Nigerian contingent to and back after the September 7 match, adding the federation was already working on the possibility of tying down a contract with the airline as its official partners.
“It is important we do everything to ensure we qualify for the World Cup and for those who would be going to Cape Verde, we have the best plane that would take you there ,” Pinnick said without a recourse to the name of the airline.“ It is the newest plane in the world and it is taking us and it is bringing us back.”
But an official who is privy to the travelling arrangement further told NationSport that the airline in question is Air Peace, adding the travelling plans have been finalized.
“The Eagles will be travelling by Air peace, “ he said. “ The arrangement has been concluded.”
