Deji Of Akure Orders Closure Of Markets To Honour Prominent Rep Member

The Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom and the Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun has approved the closure of all markets in Akure Kingdom on Friday, 1st October, 2021.

Conveying the decision of the monarch to residents on Wednesday evening, the Chief Press Secretary to the king, Prince Adeyeye Michael announced the decision to close all the markets in Akure is in honour of Honourable Isaac Adedayo Omolafe who until his death was the member representing the good people of Akure North and South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

His Majesty, the Deji Of Akure Kingdom urged all the indigenes and residents of Akure to use the opportunity to pay their last respect to one of the most illustrious sons of Akure Kingdom and also remember his immediate family in their prayers.

The Deji called on the Akure Community to join in the grief of the late House of Representatives members but be consoled by the fact and assurances that he lived a fulfilling life no matter how short.

According to the Kabiyesi, “there is no iota of doubt that Honourable Adedayo Omolafe popularly known as “Expensive” came, saw and conquered.

His Majesty therefore prayed that God will continue to protect and be with the family he left behind.
