The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ekiti State Council has expressed happiness over the re-election of Chief Chris Isiguzo as the National President of the Union in the Congress recently held in far-away Umuahia, the Abia State capital stating that the victory is a well-deserved one.
The Union in a statement signed Mr. Kayode Babatuyi, the State Secretary of the Ekiti State NUJ Council in Ado Ekiti late on Sunday evening and sent to the PMParrot felicitated with the President and other members of the Central Working Committee (CWC) for the victory with a prayer that God will enrich them with the wisdom and understanding to justify the confidence reposed in them.
The Union also rejoiced with the new Vice President of Zone B, Comrade Ronke Samo who is representing the state. The statement equally urged her to live above board.
The statement also submitted that Chief Chris Isiguzo has remodeled and retooled NUJ to a Standard Union and a pride of all considering what was on ground before he took over.
Rotimi Ojomoyela, the chairman of Ekiti NUJ expressed optimism that the second term of the President would afford him the opportunity to consolidate on his previous achievements and take NUJ to an enviable height.
While commending the President for extending hands of fellowship to his opponents, Ojomoyela appealed to the aggrieved members to sheath their swords and support the President to move the Union forward.
